Hallin Marine Subsea International PLC
I began working with Hallin Marine in 2000, when the company was not much more than the dream of its founder, John Giddens.
Nine year later the company is a global business with a market capital of more than £50 million, of which John Giddens owns some 20%, is quoted on AIM and picked up the UK National Business of the Year Award. In fact the company was so pleased with my contribution it asked me to collect the award on its behalf from Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex.
My involvement, advice and connection have been a major factor in the company’s growth and success. At different stages in the growth of a business, different skills and relationships are required.
That was why I introduced the funds from an investment house, Gresham House, in 2003 and in 2005 helped the company list on AIM.
The access to these levels of funding at the appropriate times was fundamental in allowing Hallin to achieve its ambitious targets and achieve its outstanding success.
